SCHOOL FUNDRAISERS:
HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
How you can make a difference
Students! Teachers! Principals! Lend us your "rears!" We want people whose "rears are in gear"—those willing to move from being casual observers to being involved.
Did you know that the cost of a manual (you push it) wheelchair averages $3,000? That's 400 movie tickets at $7.50 each!
And a power chair, which costs an average of $8,000, is like buying 421 CDs at $19 each. Wow!
The thing is, once you've seen the movie, you've got nothing but memories. Once you've listened to a CD—well, you can listen again and again, but eventually it's like, ho-hum.
But when you help purchase a wheelchair for someone who needs it, you've invested in something that affects a person's life for a long time.
With your help we can raise money and give people the mobility they deserve. If you are interested in getting your school involved, check out our top ten fundraising ideas for 2006-2007.
